Oh my goodness this girl is downright adorable. When I first started doing portrait photography I never anticipated how much fun childhood portraits would be. Spending an afternoon at the beautiful Japanese Garden with this energetic seven-year-old and her family didn't have a single dull moment. She had me running up and down through the park and knew exactly how to strike a pose. If only we all had Brooklynn's self-confidence and spunk!

We got kicked off the moss (oops!), tickled some catfish, smelled A LOT of flowers, and soaked up the sun. I can't wait for more summer afternoons in Portland like this one. If you haven't had a chance to see the newly remodeled Portland Japanese Garden it is definitely worth the trip! Between the Japanese Garden and the International Rose Test Garden across the street, plan to spend a whole afternoon drinking in the beauty.
